Feeling overwhelmed?
Like, what the heck am I doing?!! Or maybe “I’m a total imposter!!” Believe me when I say, this happen to almost every clinician at the beginning of their career- yes, even I felt this way, and still do at times.
These are the moments it is helpful and necessary to have a supervisor or another clinician to consult with on cases.
Your supervision and consultations are meant to be helpful, informative, non-judgmental, and validating!
Being a licensed clinician is a big deal!
When you were in graduate school, you dreamed about being licensed and what that would feel like one day. Trust me, it’s totally worth it! We will work together to ensure you get everything you need out of the process. We will work from a developmental perspective to get you to a place where you are ready to take on clients and feel confident. Being a child isn’t the only place where we experience developmental milestones; it also happens through our clinical experience too! We will meet on a regular basis, either in person or virtually, to discuss your cases, strengths, areas of growth; and we will also celebrate your wins! I want you to come as you are; and I also ask that you be willing to be vulnerable to take the steps necessary to become the best version of you. Being a counselor is fun, scary, exciting, tiring, challenging and life changing. I’d love the opportunity to learn more about where you see your clinical supervision journey going and learn more about you as an individual and a clinician.
Clinical consultations
Clinical consultations are offered for those who are already licensed and looking for extra support. Although “supervision” often ends after getting licensed, the need for support continues- this is where clinical consultations can be helpful. I offer consultations for clinicians working with children and families where I work from a lens of Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT), Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Gestalt. I also specialize in working with grief and loss, in adults, children, and teens. My approach is very client centered where I offer a lot of empathy and validation as well as through somatic and experiential approaches. I am basic trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and often consult on these cases as well. Let’s chat today to find out if we are a good fit!
