Stay Tuned! Clearer, Better Days Ahead
Welcome to your journey through counseling!
It may seem like the unknown now, but it won’t feel that way for long.
You trusted yourself enough to open this page, so let me walk alongside you as you navigate this experience!
You’re not alone!
Though this experience will have its share of highs and lows, one thing will remain constant: my commitment to you.
I’ll never leave your side. And as your counselor, I’ll guide you safely through your journey.
We’re in this together. From the first phone call to the last session, we’ll work collaboratively toward your goal.
From the moment you walk into my office, you’ll notice the open and inviting atmosphere.
It’s all about YOU.
No cookie-cutter experiences here. No two experiences look the same.
Your journey is unique to you.
We’ll check in on where you are currently – and where you want to go.
Rapport is key.
Rapport is the most important part of the therapeutic relationship, and I want to know what makes you who you are.
Throughout your process, we’ll nurture a solid and trusting relationship. We will never stop building our relationship. Each week, you’ll begin to trust the process – and me – more and more.
Throughout our time together, you’ll open parts of yourself that you may have hidden for quite some time. I’ll hold that space for every aspect of you.
My commitment is to hear, understand, and validate you throughout every session.
Plenty of Humor, a Few Tears – but No Judgment
While one of the best ways to relieve stress, humor is also a great way to work through your struggles. After all, laughter is the best medicine, right? Isn’t that why they make those slits in the back of the hospital gowns?!
We’ll laugh, we’ll cry, and we’ll sit in the pain together – knowing that it’s only temporary, and growth isn’t far away.
One thing you’ll never find is judgment – so bring whatever’s troubling you – and know that I’ll offer a safe space where you can work through it.
Now Showing: The Life – and YOU – of Your Dreams
Hold on to hope! Even when that’s hard to do, know that I will ALWAYS hold hope for you.
Many people have entered this office and emerged in a different place after enjoying their experience.
I look forward to accompanying you on the same kind of journey!
About Me
At the Crossroads
I started my counseling journey in 2014 after leaving my first career as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). I was at a crossroads in my career and needed to determine the impact I wanted to have on the world.
My love of working with people led me to the counseling program at Regis University, where I also decided to start individual counseling. During the initial consultation, I worried about what the counselor would think about me.
Would she truly understand what I was going through?
With Gratitude
I feel truly grateful to have experienced counseling – as it made me appreciate the profession much more!
So, here I am, providing services specifically designed to help and heal the human spirit.
With Credentials
I graduated from Regis University with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminology in 2014.
I then completed my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018, also from Regis University. While in graduate school, I worked in a community mental health center where I provided case management services and housing assistance. I completed my internship at a local hospice where I provided grief support to family members who had lost a loved one to a terminal illness.
At First
After graduate school, I began my career at a group practice. I worked with couples struggling with communication; individuals working through trauma, anxiety, and depression; children and families struggling with behavioral problems during my tenure.
During my first career, I spent ten years working as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), where I learned much about my ability to provide support and assistance. I truly enjoyed being an EMT; however, I experienced burnout and realized I needed to move on and move forward.
I still enjoy working with medical professionals, including EMTs, paramedics, nurses, doctors, firefighters, medical doctors, and police officers.
At Home
I am a Colorado native and grew up in the North Metro area. During my free time, I enjoy reading and traveling.
In 2016, I had the opportunity to travel and learn in Ireland as a part of a study group for a Play Therapy Institute. I absolutely loved my experience and brought back ideas that have made me a stronger Play Therapist.
I look forward to going back one day!
I have two dogs, Bandura and Jax, and they keep me pretty busy. We enjoy walks, going to the dog park, getting coffee (clarification: I get coffee, and they get pup cups).
I look forward to connecting with you to find out how I can help you on your journey to hope and healing!
